This delicious recipe by the lovely Laiken (@everydaysimplehealth) is filled with healthy carbs, fats & protein while satisfying your sweet tooth & taste buds! Perfect for lunch boxes, after dinner, 3pm snack or a pre or post workout snack!
You can pretty much throw anything in and it'll work but this particular recipe was:
- 1/2 cup/10 pitted dates (soaked prior)
- 1/3 cup almonds
Blend in a food processor for about 10 seconds, then add:
- 1 tbsp desicated/shredded coconut
- 1 tbsp cranberries
- 1 tbsp goji berries
- 1 tbsp cacao powder
- 1 tbsp Protein Powder
- 1 tsp coconut oil
- 1 tsp chia seeds
- 2 tbsp rolled oats
- 1 tbsp peanut butter
- dash of cinnamon
● blend until combined. you'll probably need to add teaspoons of water throughout the blending process to make the mixture more moist, being careful to not add too much water. I used the water the dates were soaked in
