Rich, creamy and satisfying, sometimes you need a little chocolate to treat yourself - in all the right ways! Quick to whip up in minutes, this dessert is easy to make and is sure to impress everyone at your next dinner party. Best of all, if you have any leftovers, you can keep it in the fridge to have over the next few days.Â
The healthy fat helps to prevent over-indulging in sugar. The more cacao powder you add the more sweetener you may need to off-set the bitterness. This would also work well with liquid stevia if you're completely avoiding sweeteners. This healthier mousse recipe contains zero refined sugar and is also vegan, dairy free and gluten free.
Ingredients
1 can full-fat coconut milk, refrigerated overnight
2-3 tablespoons cacao powder, sifted
2 tablespoons maple syrup
2 tablespoons chopped nuts of choice (optional)
1 tablespoon Lean Up Protein Powder- Chocolate CakeÂ
Instructions
Place the can of coconut milk in the coldest part of your fridge overnight or for at least 4 hours.
Open the can and scrape off the solid white layer on top and spoon into a mixing bowl. Add the cocoa, sweetener and Lean Up - Chocolate Cake to the bowl. Using a hand mixer, mix on high until the coconut milk is light and fluffy. Top with chopped nuts. Enjoy!
Leftovers store very well in the fridge for up to 3 days.
