Does your current protein powder or 'health supplement product' contain an ingredient called ‘sucralose’?

Sucralose is an artificial sweetener that is present in many of the protein powders sold in the marketplace. It is a chlorinated sugar and when it accumulates in our bodies, the chlorine can be harmful and a major threat to our health.

You may be taking protein powder to lose weight but the awful truth is artificial sweeteners like sucralose actually increase your chances of obesity by decreasing your body’s ability to eliminate calories!

Apart from hindering your weight loss, there are other side effects of sucralose; the most commonly reported side effects are:

  • Migraines
  • Dizziness
  • Intestinal cramping
  • Rashes
  • Acne
  • Headaches
  • Bloating
  • Chest pain

Although health companies are aware of these negative effects of sucralose, they unfortunately continue to use it in their products as it is a cheap ingredient which allows them to sweeten their products while maintaining higher profits and seemingly better nutritional panels.

What is the safe alternative? Natural sweeteners such as Stevia, Xylitol and Erythritol are the ingredients you should be looking for when seeing what your protein powder is sweetened with.

Do you know someone who may be consuming this harmful ingredient? Be sure to let them know about sucralose so they can make the switch to a healthier alternative!

Remember that UNIQUE MUSCLE products only have natural ingredients so please consider this when considering other brands that may cost less. We recommend you keep your diet as clean and natural as possible!
